Important: any adjustment or adjustment verification must always be carried out in the same way, otherwise the values may vary and mislead you:

  – Without an ethanol sensor it is also very simple, given that you have all the operating information on each cylinder, once assembly is carried out and the vehicle is still unleaded, before starting you set the “Additional rate” setting fixed injection rate if probe absent” to 0, you validate with your password, you start, you note or make a screenshot of the ECU injection times at idle, then you modify the “Rate” setting again additional fixed injection if probe absent” on 20, then once you have done 2 or 3 fill-ups with E85 you check the ECU injection times which should be practically similar (+/- 7%)

And if your E85 injection times are very far from these tolerance values, there is a problem, in this case too it is very simple:
– Check that the box is working: set the settings mentioned above to 0, validate with the password,

• – You should hear a reaction from the engine as the extra injection is removed
  – Then check in “parameter display” that the additional injection % is on 0 (+/- 1%).

Very practical for professionals, thanks to all the information present on the smartphone application, in the event of an engine malfunction, the customer will be able to without problem send you screenshots in order to detect with you remotely whether this concerns the injection or No. This will allow you to gain the trust of your customer but also to avoid unnecessary costs from an unscrupulous mechanic if he is far from you.

1/ When the engine runs constantly with 1 cylinder less:

• – Remove the engine fault with your OBD scanner
• – When you start, if it is an ignition problem, the cursor of the cylinder concerned (on the interface or application) which presents a malfunction will remain frozen for 3 seconds following starting.
• When you start, if it is an injector or injector harness problem, the cursor will freeze about 10 seconds after starting.

This fault finding accuracy cannot be verified with an OBD scanner, which is why our new box presents a great technological advance. Diagnoses of combustion problems have never been so precise and detailed.

This is easily verifiable as well as the cylinder concerned on the smartphone interface or the PC interface because the operating values of the cylinder concerned remain fixed, moreover the color of the cursor which displays the malfunction will allow you to find the cylinder concerned without problem because you will only have to find the injector which has the connection wires of the same color as the cursor (blue, gray, green or brown). 2/ If the engine malfunctions intermittently

Take a test with the smartphone or PC connected to the box and check on the page displaying the injection times, the cursor which moves abnormally when the engine malfunctions, you will then be able to easily identify the cylinder concerned thanks to the color of the cursor which is the same as the color of the wires in our harness (blue, gray, green or brown)

• – ECO: the box on certain sequences will slightly modify its operation to adapt to eco-friendly driving.
  – NORMAL: No particular modification depending on behavior
  – SPORT: The box on certain sequences will modify its injection (adjustable) to make your engine a little more responsive

Thanks to our powerful interface and smartphone application, you have the advantage of seeing the operation on each cylinder/injector.
As you can see, each cylinder display has a color that you can find on the wires of our harness.
So, if on our interface or application you detect a malfunction on cylinder 1 which is blue in color, you will only have to find the injector which is connected with the blue and white/blue colored wires in order to easily start your research and verifications.
It's a considerable time saver and very practical.

Optional ? For what ?
Let's be honest, if your engine is equipped with a lambda sensor before the catalytic converter, which is the case on all cars from 2000, the ethanol sensor will always have a secondary operating role and is therefore not really necessary.
No offense to our colleagues who market boxes with an ethanol sensor and who try to make people believe that it is essential for flex fuel operation...this is false. The electronic computer is fully designed to increase or decrease its injection times depending on needs, and only the lambda sensor before the catalyst has a primary role, it is this and this alone which ultimately adjusts the air/fuel mixture so that it is optimal. Those who really know motor electronics know this.
As proof, an old, slightly faulty ethanol sensor sending information shifted by 20% will not cause a malfunction because the ECU will correct this failure using information from the lambda probe. The opposite is not possible, the engine will run poorly and the ethanol sensor can never adjust this.

On the other hand, it allows quick and simple adjustment because the ECU retains its entire injection correction range.

On the other hand, the ethanol sensor is essential for engines without lambda probe and which therefore do not have injection correction, such as old injection, certain motorcycles, quads, buggies, boats.

This option, in the case where the box is not connected to the injectors, allows for a better cold start and to gain approximately 7% of injection correction, which can sometimes be sufficient for E85 for certain engines.

This option, in the case where the box is not connected to the injectors, allows the pressure information in the injection rail to be slightly modified to cause an increase in pressure and gain injection correction. This can be an alternative on direct injections if our box does not work when connected to the injectors.
